I'm an over-communicator because I want to make sure there are zero surprises for you. I also try to keep the process as simple as possible. Once you shoot me an inquiry we'll email back and forth to make sure you understand what comes with your session, answer any questions you may have, and to pick your session date. Once a date is picked I'll email you all payment info and your session info, including a session guide and location guide so you can prepare and choose where to have your session. We'll finalize details a few weeks before your session and a time frame for starting. A few days before your session I'll confirm everything and text you a meeting location. The day of I will send you a start time (because weather can change that). You'll receive a sneak peek via text and/or instagram within 2-3 days and your images will be ready within three weeks. Once you receive your images you'll be sent a quick questionnaire to let me know how you enjoyed your experience. That's it!

My goal is always to make sure you have memories of your family now. I try to be as accommodating as possible with rescheduling and do not charge rescheduling fees. All I ask is that my clients limit themselves to only reschedule once and to communicate with me as early as possible so I can honor the session and accommodate both their schedule and mine. Because of this and the fact that once a date is booked it is no longer available to other clients, session fees are non-refundable.

However, if I need to cancel or reschedule the session, I am happy to offer a full refund if we cannot find a new date to reschedule. Unless it’s an emergency (like a sudden illness), sessions that are cancelled within 24 hours of the set date and time are forfeit and will not be rescheduled.

Within a few days of your session you should have a sneak peek posted to my social media. I try to have your images ready and delivered within three/four weeks from your session date, often sooner.

One of the things I love about my pricing is that you get all EDITED digital images included with your session fee. Every session I guarantee a minimum number of delivered photos but there are usually much much more. I want you to have as many memories of your loved ones as possible. You are allowed to print the digital files as many times for personal use. There are some things to be aware of however.

First, I can only guarantee the quality of printed photos for photographs printed through me. I CANNOT guarantee the coloring or quality of images you print on your own. Due to the nature of digital images colors in an image can look very different depending on the printer that is used.

Second, not all printers are going to be good. I highly recommend NEVER using WalMart or any drug store to print your photos. The quality has been tested by many and they are all found lacking. If you choose not to print through me I am happy to recommend several affordable printing companies that will give you quality for a good price.

Third, not all inks are created equal. I choose to have my photographs printed on archival paper with archival inks - that means that your images are going to LAST and not fade or yellow. Other printing establishments may not use the same products. So before ordering your prints, think about what they will be used for. If you're wanting to have them framed or enlarged and displayed in the walls of your home, I would suggest using a professional printing house (what I offer) so your prints don't fade with time or exposure to the sun. If you're just needing a few smaller prints for a school project I recommend Persnickety Prints or mpix (two of my favorite consumer printing houses that actually produce a good product for a decent price).

Session fees include time with one photographer. Sometimes I might have an assistant with me. My assistant is either my husband (he likes to come along sometimes) or a photographer in training.
